Pre-Amp

A pre-amp pedal can boost or color the signal from your guitar before it reaches the next stage such as overdrive. Use them to give your existing overdrive extra overdrive (by boosting) or give it a different color (by altering the EQ). Pre-amps are great at clearing up a sometimes muddy effect.
